RMAN-06034: at least 1 channel must be allocated to execute this command

Error:

RMAN-06034: at least 1 channel must be allocated to execute this command

Cause:

During the active duplication, the channels need to be allocated for target database as well as the Auxiliary Database. So, the cause is ‘missing Channel Allocation’

Resolution:

In the below command added the channel with different naming convention d1,d2,d3,d4 on target.

run{

ALLOCATE AUXILIARY CHANNEL C1 DEVICE TYPE DISK;

allocate channel d1 type disk; 

ALLOCATE AUXILIARY CHANNEL C2 DEVICE TYPE DISK;

allocate channel d2 type disk;

ALLOCATE AUXILIARY CHANNEL C3 DEVICE TYPE DISK;

allocate channel d3 type disk;

ALLOCATE AUXILIARY CHANNEL C4 DEVICE TYPE DISK;

allocate channel d4 type disk;

DUPLICATE DATABASE TO arch12 FROM ACTIVE DATABASE

NOFILENAMECHECK;

}
