Informatica PC Domain and Repository Backups from Command Line (#Informatica_Backups)

Domain Backup:

1. Navigate to Informatica Home and server directory

cd $INFA_HOME/server

2. Execute the Below command to backup

./infasetup.sh backupDomain -da $<Database_Host>:$<DB Port_number> -ds $SID -du <DOMAIN_USER> -dp <User Password> -dt oracle -bf <Backup_Location>/$BACKUP_NAME -dn <Domain_Name>

 

Repository Backup:

  1. Source the environment to set the path for INFA_HOME, INFA_DOMAINS_FILE, PATH as below,

 

                    export INFA_HOME=/u01/app/Informatica/9.5.1

                   export PATH=$INFA_PATH/server/bin:$PATH
export INFA_DOMAINS_FILE=//u01/app/Informatica/9.5.1/domains.infa

2.  Execute the pmrep command to connect to Domain and backup repository,

pmrep connect -r <Repository_name> -d <Domain_Name> -n <Admin User> -x <Password>;pmrep backup -o <Backup_Location>/${BACKUP_NAME}
